Bravo Le Roux Details How He Managed To Secure A Collaboration With Sjava. Bravo Le Roux is currently skating on the ice of success following the success of his album Igazi, Iinyembezi Nombilo. The Khayelitsha rapper managed to assemble big-name SA rappers on his project with the likes of Youngsta CPT, Sjava, and IFani coming through to sum up his great masterpiece.
Speaking during an interview with DJ Switch, Bravo Le Roux was asked to share how he managed to secure a collaboration with the BET Award winner Sjava. “So how did you get Sjava on the album?” Asked DJ Switch.
In response, Bravo said; “so I was talking with Scoop under a full moon next to a lake and Scoop asking me who do you want to have on the album. So I was playing him like some snippets, unfinished songs and whatnot.”
“So I tell him, I would like to have Sjava on it, but he’s just dropped an album and I dont think he knows me, so maybe it’s a reach. So maybe like Ami Faku, but Ami Faku told us she was done with SA features for the year. I told him about Amanda Black, we were trying to locate Amanda Black but I think she was isolating, like she wasn’t in the best space, so that happens we are just talking with Scoop.” He added.
Bravo went and talked about how he eventually managed to meet with Sjava at Slikour On Life offices. “I actually have left my other small bag at Slikour On Life offices ’cause I was there just to kick it,” he said. “So the broer I’m communicating with at Slikour On Life he’s telling me to come before 12 or after 3 because we shooting Sjava between those times. I showed Scoop the message and I went late there and I was not expecting to see him (Sjava).”
“So I went inside got the bag, and said my goodbyes to (Sjava & Slikour), as I’m doing the handshakes, Sjava looked at me and started thinking of my name and he (Sjava) started rapping my verse. He asked me; what are you working on and he was like yo please dont close the album without me, we exchanged numbers and he kept his word,” Bravo said.
