IFani Reveals Why He’s Not Featuring Big-name SA Rappers On His Forthcoming Album. Making a music comeback after a long hiatus tends to be a mountain to climb for most artists, and it has been worse for IFani who has also been on the receiving end of cancel culture in the rap game.
IFani is currently mapping his way back into the music industry with a new album up on his sleeves. The rapper is yet to announce the release of his body of work, but he has already dropped two songs off his project.
Speaking during an interview with Musa Khawula on The Pope And Friends Podcast, IFani responded to why he is not featuring artists in the same genre as him. “You talked about your wishlist, why are you not getting the likes of Nasty C, like the same people who are in the same genre as you?” Asked Musa Khawula.
In response, IFani said he has approached some big-name rappers via Instagram messaging, but they didn’t respond. “I know because none of them are responding, he said. So I do hit them up on Instagram but they didn’t hit me back. Its like, maybe it’s because I’m healed right now, I still smell of the grave, maybe when I come up they will respond.” He added.
IFani stated during the interview that he would love to feature the likes of Ringo Madlingozi and Zonke. “My wishlist is Ringo Madlingozi and Zonke,” said IFani.
As anticipation for iFani’s album continues to build, the rapper dropped two songs as an independent artist with the other one titled Lidlozi featuring El Nino. “I’m an INDEPENDENT artist now I have to push music myself Ok, here I go…(Thixo, ubenam) New release: INTRO (3rd Quadrant) available now on all major music platforms,” tweeted IFani.
