Maglera Doe Boy Speaks On The Special Significance Of His Homecoming Concert. Renowned SA rapper Maglera Doe Boy recently spoke about the profound significance behind his highly anticipated homecoming concert.
The event, which is scheduled to take place in his hometown of Maglera in Klerksdorp, promises not only electrifying music but also a powerful reflection of the artist’s journey from his roots to stardom.
During an interview on Slikour On Life, the rapper, who hails from the Free State, expressed that his upcoming homecoming concert holds significance beyond being a typical musical event. He emphasized that the concert is a heartfelt endeavour aimed at honouring the individuals he shared his upbringing with, and at showing deep respect for the township that shaped him.
“Home is my first gig at home in a while, I actually come from a history of hosting which is a part of why I curate so much,” said Maglera Doe Boy “I just felt like it’s time to introduce people to how we part in Maglera and for those who dont know, Maglera is Klerksdorp it’s my hometown in the Northwest.”
On why he dubbed the homecoming concert “HOME” Maglera said; “I call it home because it’s me coming home, it’s like everyone must feel at home, but also it’s just my homecoming. Not just homecoming like I’m going there, it’s more like I’m bringing all the wins home. It’s me bringing all of my favourite rappers home, bringing my cousins in the game. Im actually about to drop the first leg of the lineup.”
Maglera’s Homecoming music concert will take place on the 23rd of September at Klerksdorp Recreation Centre.
