In a statement by TicketPro, Burna Boy‘s concert at the gigantic FNB Stadium was postponed due to low ticket sales and the concert was planned to take place on the 16th of December 2023. “We regret to announce the postponement of the highly anticipated Burna Boy concert scheduled to take place at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on 23 September 2023. The concert will now take place on 16th of December 2023,” read a statement by Ticket Pro.
Nevertheless, it has transpired that the Last Last hitmaker will not be gracing the stage in South Africa this year. Reports have surfaced regarding internal disputes between event organizers and stadium management, casting uncertainty over the concert.
According to the Ticket Pro official website, there is no longer a requirement for fans to purchase tickets for the concert, as the show has been officially cancelled. “Burna Boy Cancelled,” read the note on the Ticket Pro website. The ticket-selling platform has initiated the refund process and has provided instructions for individuals to reclaim their funds.
Amidst the flurry of news surrounding Burna Boy not performing in SA, he faced considerable ridicule from South Africans. However, he responded resolutely, asserting that no agenda against him would succeed. “I was in SA last year and I had 100 Thousand of the most Beautiful South Africans Outside for me, so no dead agenda can Agend.
