A slew of South African rappers have been hard at work throughout the month of September, and what better way to wrap up both the month and the week than with some scorching summer tracks from your beloved rappers?

After a month of tantalizing teasers, Priddy Ugly has at last delivered what his fans have been eagerly awaiting: his single “Ntja’ka.” It’s worth noting that the rapper had not released any new music in over a year, making the debut of his latest single potentially the first step toward fulfilling his promise to fans of a comprehensive musical project. Priddy Ugly teamed up with some of the industry’s top-tier rappers, enlisting Maglera Doe Boy, who delivered a commanding verse, while Producer Mashbeatz worked his magic on the decks.

Despite “Ntja’ka” being a full-fledged rap track, K.O came through and added a touch of serenity and composure to create a joint that could perfectly complement those summer vibes. The track offers a distinctive fusion of K.O.’s flow mastery seamlessly interwoven with Daliwonga’s melodious finesse. As the beats reverberate and the lyrics gracefully unfold, Thatha is set to be another summer banger following the success of SETE.

In addition to Priddy Ugly and K.O.’s new tracks, there are several other noteworthy releases to look out for this week. Gigi Lamayne, came out full throttle with a new Vision EP combining different genres and artists across the world. The rapper featured artists from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Ghana, Tanzania, and South Africa amongst others. The Vision EP promises to showcase the renowned South African rapper exploring diverse sounds and genres, marking a significant and enriching chapter in her musical journey.

Talking about a complete music project, J Smash also delivered his long-awaited debut album Toxic Perfectionism. The Limpopo native producer combined a star-studded lineup for his project which is also poised to make a significant impact in SA Hip-hop.
