Taking to Instagram, the Pretoria-based rapper took time to celebrate the album’s 7-year milestone. “7 years Ago, today I Dropped my Debut Album “The Devil’z Playground ‘ Happy birthday DP,” wrote PdotO.

Unveiled on October 30, 2016, “Devil’s Playground” mesmerized listeners with its introspective verses, pulsating rhythms, and genuine storytelling. PdotO’s unique fusion of contemplative storytelling and detailed linguistic artistry.

The rapper housed big-name features in the body of work, with the likes of Kwesta, Sean Pages, KidX, Blaklez, and Maggz coming through with immense contributions. PdotO said during an interview ahead of the album release in 2016, the famed said that The Devil’z Playground is a personal project where he touched on various real-life issues.

“It’s a project that is personal, but showing different sides and different spectrums of the artist that I am. So I’m trying to depict myself holistically to the world,” said PdotO.

The album’s stellar reviews and commercial triumph firmly established PdotO as a key figure in the South African music landscape, cultivating a devoted fanbase that steadily expands with every new release.
