Priddy Ugly Hits Spotify Milestone Ahead Of Final Album Release
Priddy Ugly Hits Spotify Milestone Ahead Of Final Album Release. Priddy Ugly is celebrating a remarkable achievement as his last projects on Spotify reach an impressive milestone, paving the way for his much-anticipated final album release.
Despite receiving love-hate responses from South African Hip-hop fans, Priddy Ugly remains steadfast in releasing music featuring impactful lyrics that resonate with some listeners. Having made his mark with his earlier works such as “E.G.Y.P.T” and “You Don’t Know Me Yet,” Priddy Ugly, born Ricardo Moloi, has consistently pushed creative boundaries and defied musical norms, solidifying his position as one of the most innovative figures in the South African hip-hop scene.
The rapper is currently working towards the release of his last album in his rap career. With that in mind, he took time to thank his fans for their support of his previous projects SOIL and MUD. “Thank you for streaming the music. I appreciate the 3 million streams on Spotifyafrica for these last two projects. We’re loading up the last one – [DUST],” wrote Priddy Ugly.
With a career spanning close to a decade, the rapper has collaborated with a plethora of industry stalwarts and continuously delivered tracks that resonate with a diverse audience. However, Priddy Ugly announced that DUST will be his last body of work and that might also mean he’s calling it quits after 15 years in the music industry.
“It’s been 15 years. That’s 3 albums and 3 Mix-Tapes. That’s 5 EPs, 500 Features and thousands of verses. Millions of minds blown [That’s words to my pen]. That’s a whole wife and Daughter, some homies gained, some homies lost, some bruised egos and a whole lot of love.
“Some wins, some losses. Some horns, some crosses. That’s 5475 Days you’ve been riding with me and 0 minutes I would take back. Dust will be the final album by Priddy Ugly. Thank you for your patience. Love, Richardo.” Priddy Ugly said in a statement.
