Cameroonian Rapper Stanley Enow Reflects On How He Felt Following AKA’s Death. Cameroon’s renowned rapper, Stanley Enow, recently opened up about his profound emotions and reflections following the tragic passing of South African hip-hop star AKA.
The unexpected demise of AKA was a heart-wrenching moment in the global music community earlier this year. The Supa Mega was celebrated for his immense contribution to SA Hip Hop and inspiring other artists across the African continent.
Speaking during an interview on Podcast And Chill, Cameroonian rapper Stanley Enow, who had long admired AKA, openly shared his emotional response to the heartbreaking news of the South African rapper’s untimely passing.
“I was shot at my brother, that video was in front of my eyes. I was in America and you know February 11th I guess it was around that time, it’s like Youth Day in Cameroon, it’s a big holiday but I couldn’t rest. Even to post, i was like should i post,” Stanley Enow said.
Enow, who has been instrumental in promoting African culture and diversity through his music, said that he last had a conversation with AKA back around 2017. “It’s been like since 2016, I think our last conversation was like 2017,” Enow said.
The Cameroonian rapper also revealed that he and AKA were planning on working together but it was a matter of timing. “We were planning like next time when I come to SA let’s connect, but like I told you, I took a long period of mine just planning what’s next. So it was really really bad seeing what was happening and his album was just dropping,” Stanley Enow added.
