Emtee Hints At Matatiele Homecoming Festival. Emtee is presently in the process of finalizing his highly anticipated album, DIY 3, with plans for its release in 2024. Despite the album’s impending launch, the rapper remains actively connected with his fanbase through his popular Instagram Live sessions.
During his most recent Instagram Live session, featured on the Daily TV Plug YouTube channel, the self-proclaimed Hustler discussed the possibility of organizing a Homecoming show in his hometown of Matatiele in the Eastern Cape.
Emtee‘s remarks came after one of his followers asked him to come and perform in Matatiele. “Come to Matatiele, yes. I’m planning to come and I want to have a homecoming-type festival,” Emtee said. “Im coming to Matatiele, in the city, in the town or we going to do close the streets because you know Matatiele after eight everyone is indoors. So when the sun goes down, we close the streets and have a min festival,” he added.
The award-winning rapper made it clear that it’s just an idea for now indicating that nothing has been completely planned yet for the homecoming festival to come to life. “That’s just an idea for now, but uh it’s something I’m willing to do,” Emtee said.
A few months ago, the Roll Up hitmaker hosted a successful Emtee And Friends Concert which took place in Zone 6 venue. The rapper gathered some of his industry friends to grace the concert and give the fans the best musical experience from SA Hip Hop heads.
