Nasty C Explains His Absence From CottonFest Cape Town. The annual music festival, CottonFest took place in Cape Town this past weekend, drawing music enthusiasts from all corners of the country.
Despite the festival featuring an impressive lineup, fans experienced disappointment when one of their beloved South African rappers, Nasty C was unable to make it for his performance. Nasty C took to Instagram to release a statement explaining the reasons behind his absence from the CottonFest stage.
The acclaimed rapper revealed that he suffered an injury just days before the event. Although he had expected a quick recovery leading up to the occasion, regrettably, it didn’t happen in time. “Hi Guys! Happy CottonFest Day! As some of my fans might know, I’ve had an injury a few days ago and as a result had to cancel on a show,” he said in a statement.
“I was really hoping that I would have fully recovered by now but I’m still in the process of healing and can barely even walk let alone give a decent performance so it kills me to say this but I won’t be able to make it tonight,” Nasty C added.
The rapper went on to recognize Riky Rick’s legacy, encouraging every music fan to attend and celebrate the event, irrespective of his own absence. “Every CottonFest is a celebration of a legendary legacy so please go out in your freshest outfits and have an amazing time for me. Love, Nasty C.”
Even in his nonattendance, CottonFest Cape Town persevered as a resounding success, showcasing a diverse array of talent and performances spanning various genres. Fans were treated to an unforgettable musical experience, with performances from their favourite artists gracing the stage.
