Reason Claims He Will Be The Most Overrated Artist By End Of The Year. Reason has made a bold proclamation, stating that he aims to be the most overrated artist by the close of the year.
The renowned rapper has significantly shaped the South African Hip Hop scene for numerous years, but recently, he made a notable transition to the beloved Amapiano genre. Adopting the stage name Sizwe Alakine in the Amapiano realm, Reason expressed his commitment to creating music that he anticipates will dominate the airwaves as we approach the end of 2023.
Speaking during an interview on Turbang Studio during Kid X’s birthday celebration, the Top Seven hitmaker made a bet stating he is about to end the year on a higher note. “I’ve been cooking, I’m done in the kitchen now, I’m taking it out the oven now letting it set you know, I’m about to dish it out,” he said as he promised new music release.
On whether fans should expect something big from him this year, “let’s make a bet, I bet you a 1000 bucks live here. I’m gonna be the most overrated artist by the end of the year. I mean overrated, 2023, you just going to see me anywhere unnecessarily,” Reason added.
Despite making a significant mark on the South African hip-hop scene, the seasoned rapper has seamlessly transitioned his influence into the Amapiano genre. Sizwe Alakine has collaborated with Amapiano heavyweights, including DJ Maphorisa, on the track “Khanda Shisa,” which became a major hit in 2021. With this shift in musical focus, it remains to be seen what exciting contributions the renowned rapper has in store for both hip-hop and Amapiano enthusiasts.
