Slikour Conveys Appreciation To L-Tido Following His Encouraging Message To Up-And-Coming Artists. Slikour has been one of the SA rappers who have not allowed his fame and creativity to benefit him alone. Rather the veteran rapper and media personality has channeled his experience in the music industry to uplift young artists through his various platforms.
Recently, the Skwatta Kamp rapper launched a music distribution platform named Soldistro allowing renowned and up-and-coming artists to publish their music more conveniently. In a bid to offer young artists a platform to engage with some of the reputable players in the game, Slikour invited L-Tido to Soldristo Sessions to echo words of encouragement to artists who had released their music via Soldistro.
L-Tido‘s presence was not only to encourage the young artists but to also show support to Slikour for the music initiative he launched for SA artists. “Shoutout to everybody that came out here tonight, do your sh*t, dont f*ckn follow trends. Do you, your sh*t will pop,” L-Tido said to the artists who attended the event.
In response to L-Tido’s words of encouragement, Slikour took to Instagram and shared words of appreciation to the fellow rapper. Slikour stated vehemently that Tido has always supported his initiatives and stated that he’s got love for him.
“L-Tido if I never said it bro. I got love 4 u. With every new thing I start you’ve been one of the few cats to genuinely f*cks with me. Thank you, bro. As a side note, I never forget,” Slikour wrote.
The South African hip-hop scene is currently in a state of transition, marked by various challenges. However, the path to reclaiming its dominance lies in fostering a culture of mutual support among artists. This sentiment resonates strongly with the efforts of many South African rappers, who have been actively cultivating a spirit of unity within the industry.
