After a brief hiatus from releasing music, Zoocci Coke Dope recently took to Instagram to announce his upcoming single, “Current State Of Mind V,” which he dropped on his birthday. In the song, the rapper shed light on the reasons behind his temporary absence from the music scene.

Taking from the new introspective single, the rapper and producer revealed that he has not been dropping music because he has been soul-searching and talking to his priest over issues affecting his mind. “Zooloo where you been, when you gon’ drop your next release?” I been soul searching, I been talking to my priest,” he raps.

Zoocci Coke Dope is affiliated with Vaughan’s Stay Low Record Label, disclosed in his lyrics that he never entered into any contractual agreement, alleging that the record label falsely forged his signature. “Faking signatures they tryna kill that ni**a… I’m so mad, I can’t think… Eyes wide open, I can’t blink… Sign my name with no ink… My name too big, it can’t shrink… They don’t like when niggas get money…Playing with my life and my kid, ain’t funny, Zoocci raps.

In the track’s outro, Zoocci Coke Dope openly revealed that his publishing rights were taken without his consent, attributing it to documents he never signed. He expresses the difficulty in proving that he never signed away his music catalogue. Furthermore, the renowned producer discloses that he no longer possesses ownership of his music catalogue; it now belongs to the Stay Low Record Label.

So, you’ve got individuals who, who could steal, your publishing with pieces of paper, knowing that, it’s very hard to prove, that, you-you ain’t sign the contract you know You see your signature on a contract you ain’t never seen, you will start believing in magic,”
Zoocci said.

The rapper added that he might end up not dropping music again considering the current situation he is in. He also apologized to his fans who have been supporting his music indicating that he hopes to engage with them again.
