After Vth Season’s revelation regarding AKA’s Company Remix, excitement has been building to vibe to the new version of “Company”. However, with the release of the amapiano rendition of “Company,” it becomes evident that not everyone involved in AKA’s musical journey backs the remix—among them is producer Rich Mahogany, who worked with the late rapper for a considerable period.

Taking to Twitter (X), Rich Mahogany made subliminal remarks and expressed his disbelief toward the remix suggesting that the track doesn’t embody AKA’s typical musical style. “I actually can’t believe it smh. Okes really didn’t know the man hey.” Rich Mahogany said.

The celebrated producer’s remarks garnered criticism from numerous AKA‘s Megacy fans, accusing him of trolling the song without contributing his necessary input. “I am judging you for this tweet because you have access to the family and stuff, I really do not understand why would you be making these remarks on the TL, what’s the plan vele?” Read the post from one of the vocal AKA fans.

In his defence, Richard asserted that nobody from AKA’s family seeks his advice on anything related to the late rapper’s music, and therefore, he feels obligated to express his opinions freely. “No one consults me for anything I don’t consult anyone for anything. I say what I like where I like how I like. Comprende?” Rich Mahogany added.

The initial rendition of “Company” from the Mass Country album has amassed over 5 million streams on Spotify, solidifying its position as one of the most popular tracks on AKA’s posthumous album. However, the recently released remix, infused with Kabza De Small’s touch, is still awaiting the fans’ acclaim.
