Taking to Twitter (X), Nadia Nakai expressed her frustration for failing to come up with a name for her forthcoming body of work. “Also, I’m struggling to find a name for my album…” she said in a post. Amidst the mental block that the award-winning rapper is currently grappling with, she has received massive support from her fans with some even giving her name suggestions for the project.
Despite the overwhelming support and affection, the “Naaa Meaan” chanter faced substantial criticism when one of her followers chastised her for perceived disorganization. Nadia received criticism that questioned her decision to produce an album without a designated name, leading to inquiries about the content of the project.
“How could you possibly make an album and not even have a title for it? What is the point of the album if you don’t even know what it’s about? It’s like you’re just throwing together a bunch of songs without any thought or intention. Y’all taking us for a po*s Nadia,” read the post.
In response, Nadia couldn’t tolerate the abusive criticism and openly denounced the critic’s lack of sensibility. “YOU. ARE. SO. STUPID.” 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 wrote Nadia Nakai. Despite facing criticism and struggling with writer’s block, Bragga vowed to deliver an album that would deeply connect with a majority of her fans. She emphasized her commitment to diversifying her sound during the creative process.
“When you do hear the project, it’s gonna sound very different from what you probably expected from me as Nadia Nakai the rapper. I think I’ve learnt a lot this year when it comes to music and just being an artist and collaborating and having workshops and writing camps and I really delved into stuff like that. So my project will sound extremely different but exciting too, it’s not piano,” she said.
