Yanga Chief On Whether He Plans To Drop An Album In 2024. The year 2023 has witnessed a slew of SA rappers coming through with a body of works that have rocked the charts and radio airwaves. From Sjava, AKA, and A-Reece amongst others, surely there are clear signs that SA Hip Hop has been alive this year.
Nevertheless, not every prominent rapper succeeded in dropping albums, and Yanga Chief is among those who didn’t. However, as we heard towards 2024, questions are already being asked whether the Xhosa rapper will tap into the album mode next year.
Taking to Twitter (X), one of the rapper’s fans asked Yanga Chief whether he would be dropping an album next year. “As your loyal fan, I just wanted to ask if you plan to drop an album next year 2024 or??” Read the post. The remarks came after the rapper released a new single titled My Baby which has been receiving a good reception.
Responding to the fans asking about an album release next year, Yanga Chief said that he would make that decision next year and take it from there. “I’ll have to make that decision in 2024.” Yanga Chief said.
Even though Yanga Chief is still uncertain about delivering an album next year, just to make his life easy, one of his followers asked if he could drop at least an EP. “Yoh ha.a please, EP’nyana?” One of the fans pleaded. In response, Yanga said he is only focusing on dropping single until he changes his mind. “Just running singles until I change my mind,” he added.
