The rapper recently shared his journey of spiritual evolution, expressing a newfound dedication to deepening his relationship with God after years spent immersed in a lavish lifestyle intertwined with earthly pleasures often associated with sin.
Speaking in a recent interview with Mpoomy Ledwaba, Cassper Nyovest opened up about being addicted to sex stating that he was captured by the devil. “I’ve been playing with my life and the devil had me. He had me so deep. Everything was validated and I could negotiate why I was doing it,” Cassper said.
“I was addicted to sex, had such a big ego, I thought I was better than everyone else but I was humble in the sense that I wouldnt offend anyone. Im a good person, so anything that I do is fine because I’m a good person,” he added.
Amidst his past misdeeds, the 33-year-old rapper revealed that he experienced redemption following a profound encounter with God. “I was headed straight for hell if I didn’t have that wake-up, so I had an encounter with God. He put me in a place where only he could save me,” Cassper Nyovest added.
In his pursuit of transformation, Cassper recently revealed his decision to refrain from engaging in social media conflicts, a departure from his previous habits. The “Tito Mboweni” hitmaker emphasized that such confrontations do not align with the genuine expression of God’s love, which he is now prioritizing.
“I used to fight a lot on this app. I wanted to make people feel the pain they made me feel and I wanted to belittle them. I realised that there’s no point. 1 It doesn’t please God. 2 It doesn’t take my insecurities away. 3. They are God’s children too, they might be lost,bitter and mean but he loves them too. So to anyone throwing jabs and comments at me, I forgive you all. I love you and I pray God softens your heart so you feel for us.
