Nasty C And AKA Are The Most Streamed SA Rappers On Spotify Since It’s Launch. Ever since Spotify launched it has given exposure to many artists and elevating their statuses through streams and downloads.

The music App only became popular in South Africa less than 5 years ago, in these years it has been one of the most convenient music platforms for both artists and fans.

Seeing how they have created a culture of dropping hits Nasty C & AKA have been dubbed the most streamed rappers in South Africa since it launched back in 2014. Saudi has been recently serving as the most streamed rapper standing at over 1 million streams monthly, but over the years AKA has been ahead with over 124 000 monthly listeners and Nasty C at 619 604 listeners monthly.

In the list of the South African artists named as the most streamed by Spotify was also Sjava, Black Coffee, Prince Kaybee, Jeremy Loops, Goldfish, SnotKop and Fokofpolisiekar. In the list of artists from various genres AKA and Nasty C still thrived as top rappers.

AKA did say it once that Nasty C was a problem, meant as a compliment he called him a revolutionary for SA Hip Hop. The numbers are serving proof of how both artists have impacted the growth of SA Hip Hop.
