How SA Rappers Reacted To Mpura And Killer Kau’s Tragic Passing. News of the tragic passing of Amapiano stars Mpura and Killer Kau has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and their passing has left many, including those in the hip hop fraternity have been left heartbroken. According to reports, the popular artists were involved in a car crash on their way to a gig in Rustenburg. Khanya “The Voice” Hadebe, DJ Thando Tot and TD are also believed to have been a part of the tragic crash.

Mpura’s rise in SA music was reaching new heights as he has been dominating the charts with his amapiano tracks such as Umsebenzi Wethu. Killer Kau gained fame after being discovered by DJ Euphonik after going viral for his video that showed off his voice. Hip Hop artists such as Kwesta, Khuli Chana, Riky Rick, Reason, Tweezy are just some of the hip hop artists who have taken to social media to pay their respects to the fallen.

Taking to Instagram, Riky wrote a heartfelt post dedicated to the fallen artist. Each artist had their own post dedicated to them. Riky in his tribute to Mpura said “Rest In Peace our @mpura_mpura ?? You were the happiest person in every room, your spirit was what we needed in our lives, selfless, humble and loving. Love you so much my brother. Thank you for everything you did while you were still here. Gonna miss you so much bro. Im sorry your journey had to end like this. Condolences to the family and the friends, we loved you so much bro. Lala Kahle ?”

Khuli Chana shared his memory of Killer Kau from the first time he saw him performing, which was at Focalistic birthday. “Got to see him perform for the first time at Focalistic’s birthday he performed straight after me and I loved his energy on stage,” wrote the rapper. Reason wrote, “Today’s story is the saddest bed time story to date. Pensive face #ripmpura #ripkillerKau”.

Award-winning Hip Hop producer, Tweezy also took to the timeline to share his heartbreak on the passing. “Man Killa Kau and Mpura were in the forefront of the Piano Movement that’s putting our country on the world map. Young Superstars who were still yet to do lots of great things…hayi this one is sore.”
