Roiii Announces Departure From K.O.’s Skhanda World Record Label. In an unexpected twist, South African hip-hop artist Roiii has formally declared his exit from the esteemed Skhanda World record label, led by the seasoned rapper K.O.
Roiii has been affiliated with the label since the inception of his blossoming career, having joined in September 2020. Since then, he has emerged as one of the rising artists in South African hip-hop, showcasing the potential to become a formidable force in the game.
Nevertheless, adhering to the adage that “every good thing comes to an end,” today signifies the end of Roiii’s journey under Skhanda World. In a joint statement, the two parties expressed that there will always be love between them.
“After careful consideration, together we would love to formally make news about the parties (Skhanda World & Roiii) having come to an end of their collaborative agreement,” read the first part of the statement.
“After much success during our contractual agreement, we came to a mutual understanding and no animosity is shared. We would love to thank “citizens and the “Rillas for all the love and support, it needs to stop now. This is not the end of the brotherhood but an opportunity for individual growth. The Journey Continues, Skhanda World x Roiii.”
Even though he has parted ways with Skhanda World, the Lavida Loca hitmaker has conveyed his enduring respect for K.O and Tsholo Moremedi, acknowledging their fruitful collaboration throughout the years following his confirmed departure.
“Forever respect what @MrCashtime & @tsholo did for me as an individual. After successfully collaborating I’m happy to say that I’m leaving without any animosity. Young boys gon’ do what you young boys gotta do! ❤️ Big Love to @Skhandaworld_ZA, always going to rep!” Roiii remarked.
In a particular episode of K.O.’s reality TV show; “Inside Life With K.O,” Roiii acknowledged violating his contract with Skhanda World. This transgression occurred when he engaged in a financial deal with another brand without involving Skhanda World in the process.
“I will take accountability for that. I made a mistake that I probably won’t make again now knowing that I’ve made that mistake and I dont fault him (Gobbs) for wondering where I got the audacity to do this because its really not their fault it’s really the mistake that I made,” Roiii. said.
“I wasn’t trying to keep anything from nobody, it just so happened that only after the things that happened I realised that I probably could’ve said something and going forward now if there’s anything to do with my brand working with other brands I have to keep it up with above,” he added.
