Sho Madjozi Explains How She Got Involved In Music! Sho Madjozi is one of the most interesting artists in South Africa because of her style in terms of her style and music. In a recent interview with MTV Base she spoke about how she began making music.
She was asked how she got to rapping and she responded saying that she didn’t want to be a musician from the start. “I’m a writer and i’m interested in writing films. I wanted to be all sorts of things, a journalist, a politician or whatever, but never thought I wanted to be famous or something but I write so I tried to be a ghost writer, write lyrics for other people.
She went on to talk about how she worked on a couple of songs on Okmalumkoolkat’s album and she was featured on one of the tracks which became an instant hit called GQI. This is when the rapper chose her name and staarted taking rap seriously.
