The Big Hash Reveals Michael Jackson’s Influence On His Upcoming Album “Heartbreak Hotel”. The Big Hash has shed light on the profound influence of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, on his forthcoming album Heartbreak Hotel.
The revelation came during an exclusive interview with Coco Brown on Instagram Live with the rapper sharing more details about his long-awaited body of work which is dropping next week Friday. “So what inspired this (album) title?” Coco Brown asked during the interview.
In response, Hash explained that the album’s title drew inspiration from Michael Jackson, particularly his track “Heartbreak Hotel,” a childhood favourite of the Ga-Rankuwa-born rapper. Moreover, The Big Hash expressed his desire for each song on the album to deeply connect with every listener, aiming for resonance on a personal level.
“It was more Michael Jackson, he had a song called Heartbreak Hotel and it became one of my like favourite bobs. But at the same time, I really wanted to have like a concept of that each song in the hotel is for different persons. Like each hotel room for a different person that’s what the idea was when we started,” he said.
“Then it got into, this feels like five stages of grief, there were so many angles that this thing was going within the last five years, it just became something else, it became more like I’ve been making songs that are meant to help people to get over something or forget about something,” added The Big Hash.
