Scoop Makhathini Calls On The Public To “Scrutinize” Politicians Instead Of Celebrities. When the Black Lives Matter campaign dominated social media, part of the backlash was directed to celebrities and their involvement to the course.
Scoop Makhathini has always made sure to voice his opinions regarding most matters, he chimed into the ongoing events. He took to instagram to share a quote on how the public should be spending more time scrutinizing politicians than celebrities on their participation.
“If only you, the public scrutinised the politicians you vote for like you do the entertainers we’d be somewhere right now. You let your politicians run rampant and expect entertainment civilians to pick up your voting slack.”
The media personality contradicted himself on the above statement which Riky Rick agreed to. Late last year he bashed on celebrities and Hip hop artists for not supporting fans.
“Entertainers don’t care about their fans, dog! They care about themselves. Believe and trust me on this.
“The power is always with the people. Entertainers do not care as long as they’re comfortable. Don’t for one second fool yourself thinking that these people care,” he wrote.
He added: “Hip-hop artists are thinking of themselves as just an artist in hip-hop. They are not thinking about the whole culture. Bearing in mind that people have done a lot to make sure they have the platform that they have now and it seems like some of the veteran hip-hop artists are like ‘I’ve got mine, these kids need to sort themselves out.’ It’s a big problem.”
