Even though he draws crowds and fills stadiums with his music, the award-winning rapper felt compelled to address a congregation and share a sermon, seeing it as a pivotal step in his path towards spiritual closeness with God.
On Instagram, Cassper Nyovest posted a video discussing his first experience delivering a sermon. Reflecting on the moment, the rapper admitted to feeling intimidated but expressed gratitude for God’s grace and the Holy Spirit’s guidance, recognizing that God often selects the unqualified to carry out His work.
“I thought I should just share the story with y’all, you know a few days ago my pastor challenged me to share a word in our home cell it consists of an amazing group of people who are anointed and know the word of God so much, I’m always learning there. I gave my very first sermon amongst this group of people, I was very very intimidated, I felt weak, I felt like I was not qualified to speak there,” Cassper said.
“This whole experience was challenging but it went so well and all glory to God it reminded me of a verse that my pastor also shared with me in Exodus 4 he said; “He does not choose the qualified but he qualifies the chosen.” You gonna have to wait to be perfect, you dont have to wait to be the master of the word, you can always share the word give glory to our God our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,” he added.
