Dee Koala Poised To Drop Sophomore Album. Dee Koala has been one of the most active rappers in SA Hip Hop as of late having a slew of hit singles under her belt.
In 2019, Dee Koala released her debut album, “4 the Khaltsha,” offering a revealing glimpse into her character through tracks like “Sel’iwash Yodwa” and “Nkqo Nkqo.” With 14 compelling songs, the album transported listeners to the vibrant streets of Khayelitsha, her hometown in Cape Town.
Since then, the Khayelitsha-born rapper has dished out single tracks that have left most of her fans wanting more hence the demands for her to drop her sophomore album. Speaking to BONA Magazine, the Gwan hitmaker said that she is working on releasing a new album following a string of single releases and collaborations.
While Dee has kept tight-lipped about specific album details, she did confirm that her upcoming release will include features. Assuring fans, she hinted at an exciting array of collaborations to expect in her forthcoming body of work. Moreover, she revealed that there will also be music video releases accompanying her new music, offering something exciting to look forward to.
“Of course, I always drop singles throughout the year but because a lot of people have been nagging, I have an album coming up, there will be features and some visuals for some of my work,” said Dee Koala.
Furthermore, Dee Koala shared words of encouragement for aspiring artists, advising them not to be discouraged in their pursuit of success in the music industry. She emphasized that courage is the key to achieving greatness, urging them to embrace it wholeheartedly. “It is not easy, it never was but you need to trust yourself, believe, pray, and never stop dreaming. Be yourself at all times, do not limit yourself.”
