Yanga Chief Announces “IMVELAPHI” EP

In a musical landscape teeming with creativity and innovation, Yanga Chief asserts his presence with a collection that is poised to resonate with the depth of his journey. Taking to Instagram, the famed rapper announced that the EP will drop on the 31st of May.

The EP is expected to feature collaborations with both emerging and established artists, further enriching its sonic landscape. Yanga Chief enlisted big-name rappers in Kwesta and Tshego on his 6-track EP. “MVELAPHI EP drops on the 31st Of May. Special thanks to everyone involved on the project @kwestadakar @tshego_amg @kidkapa @zuko_sa @civilthesound @skhanyisarecords @only1makwa and all the homies!!!” Yanga Chief announced.

As if that’s not enough, the famed rapper announced that he will be dropping a lead single off the EP titled Xa Ukhona featuring Zuko_SA. “Xa Ukhona Ft @zuko_sa drops this Friday,” Yanga Chief added.

Previously, Yanga Chief had come out and stated he would not be dropping a music project anytime soon, but he made it clear that he could only drop one project because he owed his record label. Hence with the imminent release of Imvelaphi, the rapper might not tap into releasing another music project any time soon.

“Right now my head is not in a project space. I might drop a project because I actually owe my label one more project then I can go figure myself out,” he said.

“Im really into my single run, like different sounds and whatever, you know. You will see as they start coming out. I feel like a project is so stifling because now I have to decide that I’m working on this sound then I have to go tell everybody about where this sound comes from. I need to give you a whole speech about the sound and how I’m into it, next thing I need to start learning how to dance so many things,” Yanga Chief added.
