In an Instagram Live session with his fans, Zoocci Coke Dope opened up about his feelings, acknowledging that many South African rappers in the industry have left him feeling disheartened, each for their own unique reasons.

“Hip-hop broke my heart bro I won’t cap to you, that’s why I’ve barely been making any hip-hop songs nowadays,” said Zoocci Coke Dope. “You can ask Young, and I played them some of the albums it ain’t no hip hop on there cause hip-hop really broke my heart.”

Expressing his sentiments, the renowned producer revealed that he has made significant sacrifices for the South African Hip Hop scene, yet all he received in return was disrespect. “I gave that sh*t my life all I got back was weasels little demons and f*k n**gs and a*s. I gave this sh* my whole life, I gave this industry my whole heart that’s why it breaks me,” Zoocci added.

Despite voicing his discontent with the South African rap culture, the 29-year-old producer recently showcased his humility by expressing gratitude for the respect and love some fellow South African artists bestowed upon him.

“ALL THE LOVE AND RESPECT SOUTH AFRiCAN ARTiSTS HAVE SHOWN ME iS SOMETHiNG i’LL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL FOR. ALL WE HAVE iS EACH OTHER. WE COULD BE THE BEST iN THE WORLD RiGHT NOW,” said Zoocci Coke Dope.
