“There’s a lot I’m facing, I’m in exile”: Toya Delazy

Toya Delazy who is currently living in the United Kingdom took to social media to engage with her fans as she celebrated her achievements out of her native land. During the candid engagement, the My City hitmaker said that her stay in the UK is not only about her career, but she is also in exile stating that she is fighting many battles.

“There’s a lot I’m facing, I’m in exile, this is what you must tell everybody. Where’s Toya? I’m in exile, they just dont call it exile anymore. They exiled me because I tell the truth about the f**n system you live in,” she said.

In her candid video, Toya Delayz expressed that she is being treated similarly to how Miriam Makeba was treated, while also criticizing white monopoly capitalists in South Africa. “They treat me the same they did to Mama Miriam Makeba not the different. That’s all these white monopolies capitalists doing, that’s why they dont tell you the incredible thing we doing,” she added.

Recently, Toya Delazy celebrated being part of the UK music charity grant powered by the PSR Foundation. The famed rapper expressed gratitude for the support stating that it’s the beginning of much bigger things in her music career.

WE cannot wait to show you all the creativity we have in store which has been limited by being a indie artist and not having any support, it really feels great to not be hyper independent, we will use this fund for art and sharing the wave of Afrorave. I have seen this funding change some lives, I am incredibly grateful for the trust and mark of integrity from the industry, watch the horizon. Afrorave is here,” Toya said in a post.
