Lucasraps Explains How The Diss Track Featuring Usimamane Got Leaked

In a recent interview shared by Mzansi A-Listers, Lucasraps shed light on the unfortunate incident, explaining the circumstances surrounding the leak. The rapper revealed that the track was shared within a limited circle of trusted individuals, including DJs and producers before Usimamane pulled out from the track.

“The producer signed the split sheets, I signed the split sheets, so I need him to sign the split sheet so we can have everything done. So for two weeks, this guy didn’t say nothing and then its part of my roll out when they left my house they were like yo you guys can use this song dont use the other song, Lucasraps said.

“So when you rollout I dont know how some people work but me i send songs to DJs wiith DJ packs and stuff like that. Sometimes i will send an audio saying yo on the day can you please rock this song wherever you’re gigging.

“So that roll out thing is happening, on Tuesday this week Usimamane sends me a message he says yo bro send the song to my team be pretty much the same his voice must be taken out but the hook is cool as is, you must just be the one on it and,” Lucasraps narrated the conversation he had with Usimamane.

He countinued; “I was like okay cool I respect your decision, I contacted the distributor that we removed the version with his verse we put the one with my hook. At 12 midnight, his team calls us, they say listen Usimamane cant be on the song entirely. So we were like okay its a trainsmash but fine we understand where you’re coming from I’ll do it myself its even better that way.”

On how the song ended up online before its release date, Lucasraps said: “so yesterday we were supposed to hop on a meeting wth GMA at 6Pm, at 6pm non of GMA’s people were replying. I have another PR guy named Justin, Justin is contacting their people they not replying. So I tell Justin like yo boyzen, send them like a nice message to say yo here’s the version of the song Lucasraps is dropping on Friday.

“Usimamane is not on the song, just bear in mind due to the roll out, if anyone drops the song you have to understand that that version was already given to people, it was ready for n**gs to play so i cant tell who has the song. I know the DJs, but i dont know which DJ sends it and to be honest i dont think anyone is going to say hey i send the song to someone.

“So I woke up today I get a message the song is leaked. Now obciously it looks like I intentionally lekaed the song but i have evidecne of me sayiing we’re not going ro put Usimamane on the song. So now we are pretty much trying our utmost to make sure that leaked version is getting taped down by most of the media groups that we see.”
