Tomorrow, Lynn Forbes will celebrate her 56th birthday, a tradition she cherished with her boys, Kiernan and Steffan. However, this year marks the second occasion without Kiernan, making her birthday bittersweet.

Sharing on Instagram, Lynn Forbes posted a photo of herself with AKA and Steffan during a past birthday lunch, expressing profound sadness as she prepares to celebrate her birthday without AKA by her side. “My birthday used to be one of the happiest days of my life. Tomorrow will be my 2nd birthday without you,” she wrote.

The investigation into the tragic murders of AKA (Kiernan Forbes) and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane in February 2023 has seen significant progress in recent months. After a year with minimal updates, a breakthrough came in March 2024 with the arrest of five suspects. These arrests marked a crucial step forward for the investigation.

Two additional suspects, believed to be brothers, are awaiting extradition from Eswatini to face trial alongside the others. The case is currently in the trial stage, with the state and defence presenting their arguments.

In May, details emerged about a large sum of money allegedly paid to one of the suspects shortly after the murders. The trial is ongoing, with a verdict still to be reached. The next court date is set for August 8, 2024.
