The Afro-rave artist recently took to X to express her regrets about featuring Cassper Nyovest on the hit song “My City.” Toya Delazy has been engaged in a back-and-forth with fans over the track, revealing that she no longer listens to it because she feels Cassper wronged her. “Lol no lie wish I didn’t collab with that kid. Can’t listen to it,” she said.

She further added that she wishes she had collaborated with Cassper’s then-nemesis, AKA, on the song instead. However, at the time, she felt too young and inexperienced to even consider that possibility. “Yeah, waste of a good song. I could have got Aka, but I was young and wasn’t thinking, should have followed Sony’s direction with this one, my heart was too big, and I gave a chance to a vile person. But I’m glad you dig it,” Toya added.

This isn’t the first time Toya has made comments about Cassper Nyovest. In the past, she claimed that she played a pivotal role in his success, asserting that without her influence and support, he might not have achieved the prominence he enjoys in the music industry today.

“No if it wasn’t for My City – the transition to mainstream wouldn’t have happened that easily, we got cassper his first flight in his life to CPT to record with us, lots of us put in for him to be where it is but because we women it’s overlooked – that collab went to be the biggest and not once did he remember me when sh*t was popping bruh, every single,” she wrote.

“Fill up they were singing my song at the stadiums, when we were available and int the country – that shot hurt my career a lot – as a youngling that shit broke me – took me years to recover. Actually worst experience sadly, wish . wish i had a different story,” Toya Delazy added.
