The rapper, known as the self-proclaimed “North God,” experienced the stroke just as he was about to celebrate his 39th birthday. According to Zimoja, Da Les’ friend said that the rapper is not well but he is showing a real fighting spirit.

An anonymous friend revealed that Leslie was transferred to a public hospital after spending several days in intensive care at a private facility in Sandton. The friend told Zimoja that Da Les’ current condition has left him unable to move or engage in any activities. However, he is still conscious and able to hear and see, despite his immobility.

“He can see and hear everyone, but he cannot speak or move. He was put in intensive care at a private hospital in Sandton and was moved to the public hospital a day ago,’ the friend said. “He is not okay but it is not my place or any of my friends to say what is wrong. His eyes are showing a fighting spirit,” said the friend as per Zimoja.

When asked about the rapper’s family’s ability to cover the hospital bills, Da Les‘ friend acknowledged the significant contributions Les has made to the entertainment industry. He mentioned that friends and supporters are coming together to donate towards his medical expenses. He noted that if people can contribute to various causes, it’s only fitting that they also support someone in need of critical health care.

“Da L.E.S contributed immensely to the country’s entertainment business, and it is a sign of Ubuntu to donate when someone is ill,’ the insider revealed. “People donate when there is a wedding, a funeral, or a birthday and why can they not donate to the recovery of one of our own stars whether they can afford it or not?” asked the friend.
