Reason Announces Sizwe Alakine’s Rap Album “Audio 2D (Dear Darkie)” Release Date. Renowned South African rapper Reason has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated rap album titled “Audio 2D (Dear Darkie)”, set to be released under his alter ego, Sizwe Alakine. The album is scheduled to drop on 13 September, promising to deliver a profound and transformative musical experience.

The rapper confirmed the release date during an interview on Choppin It With Budha T where he shared insights into the creative process and the numerous collaborations on the project. Reason also acknowledged his people for reminding him of his versatility as an artist which prompted and motivated him to work on a new album.

“Shout out to the South for reminding me that there’s a section of this rap that I could go back to and enjoy myself. I think that kasi rap culture might have saved me and saved my relationship with rap kings,” he said.

“The album is dropping September, Elokishin is the first single. We are rapping, there’s no Imithandazo or no prayers we’re rapping. Please get that sh*t, and tell me what you think, its called Audio 2D, Reason’s first album was Audio 3D, and Sizwe Alakine’s first rap album is called Audio 2D (Dear Darkie) for all the darkies out there thank you very much I appreciate you,” he added.
