According to Ex-Global, A-Reece’s “surprise drop” has quickly lost traction, with the track falling off the charts within just two days. This abrupt decline in popularity, as noted by Ex-Global, highlights a perceived disconnect between the artist’s output and audience engagement.

Ex-Global’s remarks came after A-Reece challenged critiques who have been saying SA Hip Hop is dead after the buzz he created with his recent mixtape Kill The King. “you niggas were saying that hip hop is dead and forgot to check if I was grieving or not,” wrote A-Reece.

Ex-Global claimed that A-Reece’s approach, which includes using a similar flow and recurring themes over the years has failed to evolve in a way that resonates with today’s listeners. This stagnation, according to Ex-Global is reflected in the diminishing impact of his music.

In contrast, Ex-Global praised the success of Usimamane’s album, noting that it has not only made a strong showing on the charts but is also currently topping them. This success is seen as indicative of a shift in listener preferences and a broader industry trend. Ex-Global implied that Usimamane’s fresh approach is capturing the audience’s interest, in stark contrast to what he perceives as A-Reece’s formulaic style.

“Clearly you weren’t grieving enough , your surprise drop hype is done and you’ve literally fell off the charts in 2 days, usimamane has the no1 HHP song, which is telling . People aren’t naive anymore, using the same flow & rapping about us for 10 years won’t bring any change.” Wrote Ex-Global.

Currently, it seems that Ex-Global and A-Reece are set on maintaining their feud for the foreseeable future. The tension between them appears unlikely to dissipate anytime soon, with Ex-Global frequently intensifying the situation by hurling threats towards A-Reece. As long as this animosity persists, the rivalry between them will continue to fuel speculation and drama in the music scene.
