Nota Addresses R*pe Allegations Made By “Mayibabo” Vocalist Itumeleng Bokaba. SA Music industry executive Nota Baloyi has responded to serious allegations of r*pe made against him by Itumeleng Bokaba. Itumeleng Bokaba recently came out lamenting that she got paid 59 cents for her contribution to Kwesta’s hit song “Mayibabo” and Nota was Kwesta’s manager then.
Following her exposé of being dwindled her rightful royalties for her contribution to the song, the former Rythm City actress reportedly opened a rape case against music mogul Nota Baloyi. To address the r*pe accusations, Nota said everything between Itumeleng Bokaba and him was consensual and it was initiated by her (Itumeleng Bokaba).
“Anything that happened was consensual and was initiated by her, not me, she initiated it, and that’s on record,” Nota said. On whether he suspects she was sent to trap her, Nota said; “I dont know maybe she was sent,” he added.
Nota expressed that beyond being completely stunned by the accusations, he’s deeply wounded. He called it the most painful experience he’s ever endured. “Apart from being baffled, I’m seriously hurt by all of this. This is possibly the most hurtful thing that has ever been done to me,” Nota said.
Itumeleng Bokaba took to Instagram to clarify that the incident occurred before the “Mayibabo” saga made headlines and is not related to that issue. “I know everyone is panicked and concerned right now, but I want to assure you that I’m okay,” wrote Itumeleng.
“I was not intending to for this information to leak, and I am disappointed that Musa Khawula shared it publicly without my consent. This situation occurred before the “Mayibabo” saga made headlines last week and it is not connected to that issue other than the unfortunate timing and overlap of people involved,” she added.
