Boity Shares How K.O Influenced Her Collaboration With Roiii For “Oh My (OMG)” Single. In a recent interview, South African rapper and television personality Boity Thulo opened up about her latest single “Oh My (OMG),” featuring rising star Roiii. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Boity’s music career and showcases her evolution as an artist.
In the conversation with Ayanda MVP on YFM, she revealed how veteran rapper K.O played a pivotal role in allowing Boity to collaborate with Roiii who was part of K.O’s record label at the time. Boity said that K.O reached out to her after she did the “Rockabye” Freestyle last year.
Boity expressed her desire to collaborate on a song with K.O, and Mr. CashTime was on board with the idea. However, K.O suggested that Boity should consider working with one of the young artists from SkhandaWorld instead. K.O’s suggestion then led to Boity collaborating with Roiii on the recently released joint Oh My (OMG).
“K.O reached out to me after I did the freestyle and then I figured I wanted a tit for tat or something, he did actually. I wanted him to do a song with me and then he was like fine I will do a song with you, but I want you to do a track with my youngins who are part of the team and that’s how we connected,” Boity said.
Boity and Roiii’s chemistry shines through on this track, featuring a catchy chorus and lively production that invites listeners to have a great time. “Oh My (OMG)” achieves this effortlessly, positioning itself as a strong contender for one of the best songs in South African hip-hop this year.
