Da Les Returns Home To Recover After Extended Hospital Stay
Da Les Returns Home To Recover After Extended Hospital Stay. Da Les is finally back home after a lengthy stay in the hospital. According to Zimoja, the “Lifestyle” hitmaker has been recuperating at home for over a month following a stroke in July. While he is doing well overall, he continues to experience some speech difficulties.
The famed rapper’s family played a crucial role in his discharge, as they wanted to provide him with personalized care in the comfort of his home. According to Zimoja, a close insider shared that despite having access to top-notch medical professionals, Da Les was unable to secure a private room in a public hospital. His family ultimately decided it was best for him to continue his recovery at home.
“He was treated with the highest form of care at Charlotte Maxeke and South Rand hospitals, where he started his rehabilitation. The family thought it was best for him to be home.” The source told Zimoja.
Family members are taking turns to support Da Les during this challenging time. His mother, who has flown in from the U.S., is present to ensure he has everything he needs. Progress is evident, as he is slowly beginning to form sentences. The source added that while he has regained some sensation on his right side, he still lacks mobility.
“His mother, who was based in the US, is here to make sure that he is fine,” the source said, adding that the rapper is starting to put sentences together, slowly. The source said his right side has sensation, but has no mobility. “He is starting to show improvement, thanks to the rehab programme. He is now learning to walk too. He’s aware of what’s happening and he is determined to get back on his feet. He is showing major improvement since he started rehab,” the source told Zimoja.
Another reason for the family’s decision to bring him home was to shield him from media scrutiny and the potential for leaks from hospital staff. Consequently, they have limited access to some friends until he is fully recovered.
