The singles, released on 4 October 2024, are a tribute to their relationship and a reflection on the profound impact AKA had on her life and career. “Missing You” featuring Shekhinah and Zakes Bantwini encapsulates the raw emotions of loss and longing, showcasing Nadia Nakai’s vulnerability as she grapples with the absence of her partner. The poignant lyrics delve into the deep connection they shared, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into her grieving process.

In contrast, the track “M.E.G.A (Make Everything Godly Again),” featuring Cindii Masina and Osaze, showcases Nadia’s journey of self-expression as she rises above grief, determined to conquer the world and embrace her inner diva.

The release of these singles comes as part of a larger movement within the South African hip-hop community to honour AKA’s legacy following his tragic passing earlier last year. Before the release of the tracks, Bragga announced that she would be dropping a new album this month which is poised to be a poignant body of work following her massive love and a period of grief she went through after AKA passed away.
