Reason On Why He Enlisted The Help Of Young People To Create The Alakine Album. Reason, who rose to prominence as a hip-hop artist, resurrected and rebuilt his music career after plunging headlong into Amapiano under a new moniker; Sizwe Alakine.

Taking to Twitter, Reason shared the progress he is making towards the creation of the album. The rapper revealed that he has opted to do things a bit differently in the making of the Alakine album. Reason made it known that he has turned to the young people’s creativity to contribute to the success of his upcoming project.

“After 20 years of writing & producing music for myself, I chose to turn to young people to help create the Alakine album. And my God. Everyone of these kids are developing something new. Like. yo. I have a newfound respect for ama2000 guys. These kids are creative af.” Reason tweeted.

The release of his two amapiano singles, “Khanda Shisa” featuring DJ Maphorisa, and “Thel’induku” featuring Visca,  have clearly exposed the versatility and creative artist he is. The famed rapper recently inked a new global deal with Warner Music South Africa and he is expected to drop the said amapiano project soon.

Reason might have been focusing on releasing an amapiano album, but the rapper has not dumped hip hop completely. He recently revealed a new song featuring Ms. Ntabi titled “3rd Eye in which he appeared as Reason.
