Coco Brown Calls For Local Hip Hop DJs To Open For Travis Scott In SA

Coco Brown Calls For Local Hip Hop DJs To Open For Travis Scott In SA. With global rap superstar Travis Scott set to bring his electrifying CIRCUS MAXIMUS WORLD TOUR to Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium on 11 October 2025, the anticipation is already sky-high. But local hip-hop DJ and personality Coco Brown is calling for South African talent to be part of the experience.

Taking to social media, Coco Brown posed a question that has sparked conversation among hip-hop fans and industry players alike: “So how soon can we start campaigning to open for Travis?? Some of us are bomb ass hip hop DJs guys.”
The statement comes as fans prepare for ticket sales, with Discovery Bank pre-sales kicking off on 26 March at 09:00, followed by general sales opening on 28 March at 09:00. DJ Coco Brown believes that having local DJs and artists open for Scott would not only elevate the concert experience but also give homegrown talent a platform on an international stage.
Scott, known for his high-energy performances and chart-topping hits, last performed in South Africa in 2017. Since then, his career has skyrocketed, with the CIRCUS MAXIMUS WORLD TOUR selling out 76 shows across North America, Europe, the UK, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand.
Now, as the tour makes its way to Africa, the question remains: Will local DJs and artists get the opportunity to set the stage for one of the biggest hip-hop acts in the world? Coco Brown believes it’s time for South Africa’s hip-hop scene to take centre stage.
