After a notable hiatus from radio following his departure from Metro FM in 2022, DJ Speedsta is officially back on the airwaves with a fresh new platform on 5FM titled 5 Hip Hop Night. The show is set to air every Sunday at 7 PM, giving hip-hop enthusiasts a dedicated space for the culture.
In an exciting announcement made on social media, DJ Speedsta unveiled two dynamic segments aimed at showcasing emerging talent within the hip-hop scene: Next Up and Head to Head.
Next Up provides a competitive platform for rising artists to gain exposure. Every week, two upcoming rappers will go head-to-head, with their tracks being evaluated by the audience. Submissions for the first round of competition are already open and will close on Thursday, April 3rd, at 6 PM. Aspiring Hip hop artists can submit their tracks via email at [email protected].
