Kwesta Breaks Down His Intentions Behind Upcoming Album ‘The Big Bro Theory’

In a conversation with Apple Music, Kwesta shared his vision behind the project, distancing it from the confessional tone many hip-hop albums carry today. “It’s a contribution more than anything,” he said. “It’s not one of those albums where it’s too personal, and you feel like you’re just listening to your therapist, and I’m just a guy complaining.”

Instead, the Ngud’ hitmaker wanted to craft something that lives in the listener’s world as much as it lives in his. “I really want people to enjoy the music, while I’m trying my best to put it out creatively, and be honest in my output,” he explained.

While Kwesta hasn’t shied away from emotional storytelling in past albums like Dakar II, he intentionally steered away from using The Big Bro Theory as a form of self-healing. “I didn’t approach this music as therapy, I wanted it to be enjoyed,” he said. “And if it does work as that for another person, that is unbelievable! But it is not what I made it for. I wanted other people to enjoy it more than anything.”

With just days to go until its release, fans can expect a project that blends maturity, artistic integrity, and accessibility—hallmarks of an artist who understands his influence and legacy.
