Flvme Unpacks The Depth Behind His Upcoming Album “Blvck & White”
Flvme Unpacks The Depth Behind His Upcoming Album “Blvck & White.” In a recent sit-down interview, South African hip hop and R&B sensation Flvme peeled back the layers of his forthcoming album Blvck & White, describing it not as just another project but a pivotal moment of rediscovery, healing, and raw intentionality.

“So Blvck & White for me is more like a re-introduction of myself,” Flvme revealed. “I feel like I’ve got to a point in my life where I was at a crossroads. I had to figure myself out… Who am I? Who do I wanna become? Where do I wanna go?”
The artist, known for his emotionally charged lyricism and genre-blending soundscapes, reflected on a turbulent personal journey spanning the last five years. He described those years as “some of the craziest” of his life, filled with trials that ultimately shaped his current mindset and creative direction.
“There’s a quote that stood out to me,” he said. “‘You only find yourself if you lose everything.’” That line, he explained, became a guiding light during his darkest times, helping him embrace the painful process of letting go in order to rebuild.
In this rebirth, Flvme says Blvck & White captures the essence of duality—light and darkness, chaos and clarity, loss and discovery. “I was forced to fend for myself in a lot of things. I had to understand myself more and what I want out of this. So I’m very intentional with what I do now. From the moves I make, how I record the songs, the subject matter—every single thing is very intentional.”
As anticipation builds, it’s clear that Blvck & White won’t just be an album—it’ll be a statement. A mirror of a man who walked through the fire, found himself at the edge, and came back with the truth.
