DJ Zinhle On How Cassper Mized Her For Her New Album

Cassper Nyovest nearly landed a spot on DJ Zinhle’s new album Zee Nation Volume 1 but according to Zinhle, that feature never happened because Cassper simply didn’t respond.
Explaining on the 5FM Drive show with Zanele Potelwa, Zinhle detailed how she wanted to bring a bit of balance to her album with a Cassper feature and tap into the rapper’s smooth, easy-going flow. Initially, Cassper had reportedly agreed but when it came time to deliver, Zinhle says he disappeared.
“Originally I thought I’d put Cassper on cause he’s good with that type of flow, like easy-going but he mized me… after he agreed actually. I sent him the snippet of the song and he never came back to me,” Zinhle shared joking she had proof on text.
Zinhle half‑joked that maybe the rapper who has picked gaming was probably busy, making it the possible reason for Casper not to respond to the snippet even though he was expecting it.
Despite the soft tone in how she addressed it, the moment speaks volumes about the unpredictability of collaborations even between two industry heavyweights.
Not so long ago, Cassper went public about being ignored himself. In a Twitch livestream clip that went viral, he revealed that he had DM’d Young Stunna to ask for his number and never got a reply. “It was strictly about gaming, I’m not trying to get a feature,” he clarified on the clip.
Following the revelation, a fan took to Instagram comments with a cheeky comment aimed directly at the rapper’s upcoming event, commenting, “Well I’m going to mize his event too” in reference to Cassper’s signature Fill Up concert.
While the jab may have landed with others in the comments, DJ Zinhle wasn’t here for the tit-for-tat energy. She calmly replied, advising against the move, implying that people shouldn’t take such things personally or retaliate. “Her response was classy, a reminder that while disappointments happen behind the scenes, it’s still love in public. “No man. Please don’t,” Zinhle responded.
Whether it was a genuine oversight, a change of heart, or simple scheduling chaos, the lack of follow-through stands out especially when it’s coming from someone who’s publicly spoken out about others not responding to him.
