“I don’t even know what genre it is,” he admitted, explaining that while many listeners labeled Soft as hip hop, that was largely because of who he is. “I don’t call it hip hop, I don’t think Soft is a hip hop song. But a lot of people classified it as that because I’m a rapper.”
