The high-energy record arrives as the latest preview of their upcoming collaborative project, uMgaranto II, giving fans another taste of the chemistry that has made the duo one of the city’s most exciting partnerships.

Produced by Hennybelit, “Tuku Tuku” blends booming bass, infectious rhythms, and K.Keed‘s commanding lyrical delivery into a track built for every setting, from packed dance floors to late-night drives. Following weeks of anticipation fueled by striking promotional visuals photographed by @dayyaan, the single lands with the kind of energy that demands attention from the very first listen.

Born Mihlali Koyana, K.Keed has quickly become one of South Africa’s most compelling hip-hop voices. Raised in Gugulethu, Cape Town, she first captured attention with her breakout single “Similies” in 2019 before building an impressive catalogue through projects like the ALTER-EGO EP and her acclaimed 2025 debut album Bite the Bullet. Along the way, she has collaborated with some of the country’s biggest names, including A-Reece and Nasty C, while earning praise for her fearless lyricism, poetic storytelling, and unmistakable presence on every record.

Joining her once again is fellow Gugulethu creative Orish3000, whose talents extend beyond rapping into production, songwriting, sound engineering, and R&B. Their partnership first came to life with the original uMgaranto project in 2023, and the connection between the two artists has only grown stronger. Their latest release follows the success of “Abenam,” which recently crossed the 100,000-view mark on YouTube, adding even more momentum to the build-up for uMgaranto II.

Announcing the release on social media, K.Keed kept it simple and direct, posting, “Tuku Tuku Out Now on all platforms. UMG II presave link in my bio, it’s time,” alongside Orish3000 while encouraging fans to stream the record immediately.

The arrival of “Tuku Tuku” also reflects the continued rise of South African hip-hop, with a new generation of artists pushing creative boundaries while staying connected to the culture and communities that shaped them. As excitement builds around uMgaranto II, K.Keed and Orish3000 continue to show why Cape Town remains one of the country’s most exciting creative hubs.
