Rather than marking the occasion with streaming numbers or career milestones, the Pretoria-born artist chose to reflect on the personal growth, purpose and faith that have shaped her journey since the project’s release on 1 August 2024.

Sharing the milestone on Instagram, Tasha HendrixX thanked everyone who has supported the album over the past two years.

“My Sophomore Album. 2 Years Old Today,” she wrote. “Thank you to every person that ever bumped and still is bumping this baby.”

Her message soon shifted from celebration to introspection as she opened up about how much her outlook has changed. HendrixX revealed that the past two years have taught her valuable lessons about purpose, identity and the importance of letting go of the desire to constantly be seen, heard or understood by others.

She shared that she has embraced serving without expectations and has come to realise that the only true witness to how she lives her life is God. The reflection highlighted the spiritual foundation that continues to guide both her personal life and creative journey.

Looking ahead, HendrixX expressed excitement for what lies ahead while offering a prayer for continued inspiration.

“I can’t wait for the next chapter to be revealed,” she wrote, before adding, “May the Lord Almighty grant me the words and melodies to continue.”

She ended the message with her signature warmth, writing, “God bless the God blessed.”

Known for wearing many creative hats, HendrixX has built a reputation as a rapper, singer, producer, qualified sound engineer and video editor who remains deeply involved in every stage of her artistry. If I’m Really Being Honest followed her 2023 project BlackD Out and arrived after the release of the single “Waves,” which introduced listeners to the album’s deeply personal themes. She has since continued expanding her catalogue with releases including her 2025 mixtape AgainstAllOdds.

Her anniversary message stood apart from the typical promotional posts that often accompany album milestones. Instead of revisiting chart achievements or streaming figures, HendrixX focused on gratitude, spiritual growth and staying true to her calling.

For fans who connected with If I’m Really Being Honest, the anniversary reflection echoed the same vulnerability and sincerity that defined the album itself. Two years later, Tasha HendrixX continues to create with intention, guided not by public validation but by faith and a commitment to her purpose.
