Loki Taps Khuli Chana For New Single “CHELETE.” South African hip-hop is set for a nostalgic reunion as Durban rapper Loki joins forces with Motswako veteran Khuli Chana for their new collaboration, CHELETE.
Loki announced the upcoming release on social media, describing it as more than a new song and teasing a return to the atmosphere that surrounded South African music before the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Some moments feel bigger than music,” Loki wrote in the announcement. He reflected on a period when music felt more communal and new releases could turn into major moments for both artists and fans.
The track is scheduled to arrive on Friday, 25 September 2026, giving fans their first taste of the pair’s latest collaboration. The reunion also reconnects two artists with an established history. Loki and Khuli Chana previously appeared together on DJ Rico’s 2020 single Asambe Nana, making CHELETE another chapter in their musical relationship.
Loki, who was born in Mtwalume and raised in Durban, first gained wider attention after signing with K.O’s Skhanda World. His music has combined street-focused storytelling, melody and observations drawn from township life.
Meanwhile, Khuli Chana remains one of the defining figures of South Africa’s Motswako movement. The Mahikeng-born rapper has built a career spanning more than two decades, earning recognition for his lyricism and contribution to the local hip-hop scene.
