Marcus Harvey Celebrates Successful “Son of Elvis” Intimate Listening Session. Marcus Harvey has celebrated the success of his latest album rollout after bringing fans closer to Son of Elvis through an intimate track-by-track listening session in Johannesburg.

The session was hosted at Mama Kashaka & Friends, a Braamfontein cultural space known for creating intimate experiences around music, art, food and community. The setting provided Harvey with an opportunity to connect directly with listeners as he introduced them to the world behind his latest body of work.
Released on 28 August 2026 through Stay Low, Son of Elvis represents another significant chapter in the career of the Alexandra Township-raised singer, songwriter and producer, born Lawrence Ofentse Harvey Mashiloane. The 13-track album follows his 2020 debut I Am Marcus Harvey, the 2021 EP You Still Don’t Know Me and his 2024 project Now You Know Me.
Across the album, Harvey continues to explore the space between R&B, neo-soul and hip-hop, pairing soulful production with introspective writing and deeply personal storytelling. His use of vernacular languages further strengthens the sense of identity running through the project, giving listeners a closer look at the experiences and influences that have shaped his artistic journey.
