Tasha HendrixX Drops Long-Awaited “StrobeLights” Music Video Featuring Zulu Mecca. Tasha HendrixX has finally released the official visuals for “StrobeLights,” her collaboration with Zulu Mecca, nearly a year after the track first appeared on her 2025 mixtape Against All Odds.
Sharing the long-awaited video with fans, HendrixX reflected on the timing of the release as the project approaches its first anniversary. “Long overdue, but glad we can finally put this out,” she wrote, while thanking Zulu Mecca for what she described as a timeless verse and expressing her respect for the acclaimed artist.
“StrobeLights” appears as the ninth track on the 11-song Against All Odds, which arrived on October 7, 2025. The collaboration brings together HendrixX’s distinctive approach to hip-hop with the lyrical presence of Zulu Mecca, the stage name of actress and rapper Mandisa Nduna.
The release also highlights Tasha HendrixX’s hands-on approach to her craft. She edited the video herself, while her partner and frequent collaborator PdotO handled the direction. Cinematography came from @sir_midnight_00, with the beat produced by @beatsbyshxne. Spike Adam Lyf, Katlego The Don and Linda also make appearances in the visuals.
Against All Odds presented HendrixX as an artist determined to tell her story on her own terms. The project, executive produced by PdotO, moves between personal reflection and a more defiant hip-hop energy, with songs such as “TearOfTheVeil,” “FreeSoul,” “WayUP” featuring Tae Africa and the title track helping shape its identity.
“StrobeLights” remains one of the project’s notable collaborations, particularly because of the chemistry between two independent voices with strong lyrical identities. Zulu Mecca also publicly acknowledged the collaboration around the time of the mixtape’s release, referring to HendrixX as “Queen.”
With Against All Odds approaching its one-year mark, the arrival of the “StrobeLights” visuals gives the song a fresh moment in the spotlight. What was once a track on a mixtape now has a visual chapter of its own, adding another layer to a project built around perseverance, independence and staying true to the journey.
